dbm27
My husband and I picked up an old sewing cabinet from the side of the road a few months ago. It had clearly been neglected for quite a while—the top was badly warped and the amount of dirt was ridiculous. I've been (slowly) cleaning it up, removing the layers upon layers of gunk and the discolored finish to reveal the beautiful carved wood underneath. I've only cleaned up one door so far, but I'm curious about what kind of wood this is and am hoping someone here can help me out.
G S Haydon
I'm on shakey ground at the moment as far as timber ID goes but I'd say it's Mahogany. Whatever it is it looks good!
