I actually don't see any place where the cedar shows between the edging and the veneer. Ever veneer surface is framed in wenge completely, and then transitions to the inner cedar. The trim pieces on the bottom are a little thinner because of potential issues with the bottom panel grooves. Making them any thicker may cause a significant weakness there.
