prov163
I'm building a Shaker style hutch for a friend. She wants it distressed and antiqued. Does anyone know of a good You Tube video on doing this? Thanks

Popular Post Eric.
I recommend distressing your friend with a rubber hose for asking you to do that to perfectly good wood. Then show her how to locate garage sales on craigslist so she can go find some beat up furniture. I'm joking approximately 20-25%
wtnhighlander
The best way to "antique" a pice of furniture is to wait 200 years and see if it is still around.
TerryMcK
It's amazing that guitar manufacturers take a pefectly good brand new guitar and beat the hell out of it to make it look "road worn". Then they charge you £500 more for doing so. Norm did a video on NYWS distressing a table he'd just built and you could see the pain on his face while he was doing it. I'll have a look later on to see if I can find it as there were lots of aging techniques that may interest you. Hopefully It may be on Youtube. woodhunter31
This video may help you, for instance: Personally, I never used distressing techniques. It'd be great, if you post the before and after looks of the hutch.
