zeboim
My lovely wife got me a lie nielsen block plane for my birthday, but I already have one. Would you sell it and get another plane to add to your collection or would you save it to either use the iron or use it for parts or pass it along to your son when he's older? This would probably make a good poll.
Eric.
Are they both low angle or standard angle? Sell one and replace with the style you don't have. Low angles are better for end grain, standard angles are better for everything else.LN planes hold their value ridiculously well...even very used ones. The fact that yours is still NIB means you'll probably get up to 90% of retail price. List it right here on the marketplace forum at a reasonable price and it'll be gone in a day.Your son will inherit all your tools...he doesn't need duplicates either.
Stephen Prunier
If you decide to sell one. Make sure it isn't the one she bought you.
Dknapp34
Seems wrong to have nice tools sitting around your shop if they aren't going to be used. I vote for selling one (not the one your wife got you, as Stephen said).
