Pwk5017 Posted May 23, 2016 Report Share Posted May 23, 2016 24" might be the biggest jointer I've ever seen. I heard rumors that someone had a 30" once, but not clue who has it. Maybe David marks? I hate to sound like a liberal hippy here, but 99.99% of the time anything over 16" is too much. A 16"+ would be uncomfortable to use unless you moved the fence forward. Heck, my back notices the difference between a 12 and an 8. Can't argue how friggin awesome it would be to have a massive jointer. Who has 24" wide boards!? I would be hard pressed to manage a 24" wide 8' long 4/4 board. 8/4 would probably be game over for managing on a jointer. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
