Danettej
Hi all, Really great initial feedback on the forum. These very early prototypes have been greatly improved and, the provided commentary will be used for future development as well. To address a few issues…the clamps will not unseat themselves in the future and the spindle will not travel down the rail. These ‘macro’ issues have been addressed. To adjust the clamping force please turn the pressure screw counter-clockwise to increase pressure and clockwise to decrease pressure. The final version of the clamp will have a visual guide on the clamp itself so people can get oriented with the unit. The T-Track and Bench Dog adapters are a fantastic idea…the issue will be directed to German R&D immediately. The InLine version is also a great idea. We will see what we can do about getting one to market very soon (hint!). ******PLEASE – Keep the ideas coming – Your ideas are getting a direct line to product development.*******
Dyami Plotke
Danette, On more thing you may want to consider is a non-marring head. Maybe a piece of hardwood or phenolic that attaches to the present metal head with a magnet?
Underscorefunk
Danette, On more thing you may want to consider is a non-marring head. Maybe a piece of hardwood or phenolic that attaches to the present metal head with a magnet? Even a slip on rubber foot the same as they have on most f-style clamps would be pretty rockin for this. It dents my pine without using a shim or caul. :/
