Popular Post gee-dub
One thing about being in I.T. since mainframes reigned supreme, you are around for a lot of out of date hardware disposal. I picked up this tape reel storage cabinet back when tape reels switched to tape carts. I gutted the reel hangers and have used it for many things over the years. As the space in my shop seems to get ever-smaller I am always looking for better ways to store the things I want at hand. The tape cabinet used to look mostly like this. I grabbed some scrap and cut a few dados. Made a few of these. And now it looks like this. I use the smaller shoe boxes for Drill Doctor stuff, small power tool DC accessories, glues and cements, sharpening overflow and the like. The larger latch-lid boxes hold router accessories, Dremel tools and Dremel accessories and so forth. Just food for thought if you have a commercial cabinet of some sort that is less than efficient for woodworking. A trip to the scrap bin can have you fitting it out to your needs in no time.
Mark J
It's good to find new purpose for old things. More and more woodworking is how I repurpose me.
