Spangler1992
I am new ot the woodworking hobby and I am looking to purchase a miter saw. As I am looking at the different ones I see some are single and some are dual bevel. What is bevel and what is the difference between single and dual? harryangel69
Compound miter saws have the ability tilt the head at the trunion (rear). This combined with the front miter adjustment can create compound miter cuts. Single bevel tilts to the left only. double bevel can tilt left and right. There is typically a stop pin to allow it to tilt to the right.
