Mark J Posted July 4, 2020 Report Posted July 4, 2020 Woodcraft is advertising a special on a wood called Brazillian Ebony (Swartzia panacoco), which might work for a project I'm considering. Does anyone have experience with this wood, particularly turning? Quote
kyokahn Posted July 5, 2020 Report Posted July 5, 2020 It's in the same family as Mexican Kalatox so I'd expect similar difficulties. Interlocked grain, high density and dulling your tools. I does turn out shiny on its own though. 1 Quote
