TyBud
I just purchased a used Rigid TS2400 10" table saw and it did not come with the arbor wrenches for swapping out the blades. I have tried looking for an OEM replacement wrench with no luck and it has been discontinued. Are arbor wrenches generally universal? Or does anyone have a link to a set of Arbor Wrenches that would likely fit the Rigid TS2400? Thank you for your help!
wtnhighlander
I have a Rigid TS2424-1, and just use a 10" adjustable wrench. A scrap of wood serves to jam the blade in place as needed. The thing to remember is that the arbor nut is 'self tightening', so applying excessive torque when installing it is a waste of energy. Tom King
Not sure about the Rigid, but all mine are 7/8", which is not an unusual size for an ordinary wrench.
gee-dub
I too just block the blade and use a box end or open end wrench on the nut. 7/8" in one case 1-1/8" in the other. This is light work. Any cheap wrench of the proper size will work. If your saw uses two wrenches I would just abandon the interior wrench in favor of a block of wood.
Tom King
I use a block of wood too, but put it on the top, and slam the wrench down on it while on the arbor nut. Same for wheels on grinders. Called the "wrench slamming method". The blade/wheel keeps turning, but the nut doesn't, so it loosens right up with no stress on the blade or wheel.
