Airtight drawer lid

Im refurbishing a drawer unit into a jewellery cabinet but am struggling to come up with ideas for drawer lids to reduce tarnishing. At the moment I made laminate sheets to sit on top but they aren't doing a good job.

Does anybody have any ideas or pointers to make an airtight lid for these drawers, preferably something clear but open to suggestions.

Im at the point of considering individual plastic pouches from amazon but that's last resort.

Intesting concept. I'm afraid 'air tight' may be rather difficult to achieve in a wooden structure, but the framed acrylic sheets you are using could do a pretty good job with the addition of some sort of gasket around the edges, and a latch to hold them tightly in place.

I suspect that there will still be enough air trapped under the lid for tarnishing to occur, at least to some degree.
