JohnG
I think Paul Sellers did a video on making bowed clamping cauls a while back. Just taking square stock and making graduated passes with a hand plane on each end to create the bow. Was there anything special about the bowclamp? Did they make claims about the specific curve or wood thickness/species? Was it recommended by 9 out of 10 youtube woodworkers? I’m sure an engineer could tell you a fancy word for the type of curve that would be ideal and what dimensions it should be based on the species of wood, but would anyone be able to tell the difference in using it? BillyJack
Nothing fancy about a lot of things, till you need to sell it.. Should I buy a Klemmsia clamp or mine for the same money. I’ll buy the Klemmsia.. Should I buy a HF clamp or a Bessey for the same price? Do you need to think about it? I make a lot of copies and they aren’t worth the original.. if I was at an auction and seen “BowClamps” I’d bid
