Popular Post gee-dub
I bought this Bora top on clearance at one of the BORGs years ago. I had never set it up in my previous shop because I just didn't have the room. I've had the new shop for about 3 years now and this finally found its way to the top of the to-do list. I have an almost-thrown-out cart that I got from a friend of mine. It has served me well with a new set of wheels and some minor fix-it-up effort on the frame. I scrounged the scrap bin and came up with some material that I could make a frame out of. I had to bandsaw out some material to allow for the hinges. The cart specified this requirement due to its dimensions. I lay out the frame pattern on the underside of the Bora top. I attach the top with these washers that are designed to resist pulling through softer materials. I picked up a bag of them for almost nothing and have been looking for something to do with them. The frame is anchored in the tray of the cart. The top is anchored to the frame. The 3/4" dog hole pattern accepts many of the dog hole accessories that I already have. Here's an example of squaring up some frame parts. The almost-thrown-out cart has proven itself more useful than I ever thought. Maybe now it will be even more useful.
