guitar10000
Hello , I recently bought this Jet JWL-1236 lathe used. On the motor end (as you can see in the picture) is a threaded hole. I can't find any documentation as to what this would be used for. I wanted to add a wheel to manually turn the project like I've seen on other model lathes. The manual really doesn't say much about it. I would also like to build a router attatchment that would be turned manually using 2 bearing blocks for the router runners and a ball screw to move the router. Maybe 2 gears , one on the ball screw end attatched to a gear on the threaded hole on the lathe. If anyone has any information on what the threaded hole is , or why its open , please let me know. Thanks

guitar10000
Hello , Thanks for the reply. Here is the Diagram of the JWL-1236 Model I have. It shows nothing there. No wheel. Just open end with a threaded opening. Any idea?JWL-1236 Dia.pdf
guitar10000
Yes I can insert the knock out pin. I am just wondering why it's threaded. I wanted to make a router attatchment to this lathe.
