Picture frames

Finished up the first frame this morning and hung it. Maple frame with maple splines. Bought the wood 2 years ago now expecting it would be done a long time ago. 

The picture makes the gap in the top right miter look much bigger than it is in real life. It got misaligned with the glue up. 

Second one is done but waiting for the artwork. It’s a Christmas gift so I may have set a record for being on time. Will post pictures later.

Nice clean look.  Great material and the splines add a secondary visual interest.  It is always a dance to make a nice frame that doesn't steal the show from the art.  Well done.

Here’s the other one. Thankfully it’s stock glass size. Pretty much the same but cherry splines.
