rmason
I have several 1/4 sheet palm sanders. Is there much of a difference in the performance of a ROS and a 1/4 sheet palm sander?
jimmykx250
I hate my dewalt 1/4 sheet palm sander. My random just plain works better- or it just may be me?
bywc
honestly since I bought my first ROS my 1/4 sheet sander hasn't left the tool cabinet once big difference and way better outcome in my opinion.
Vic
The big difference of the ROS over a regular sheet sander is the random orbit scratch pattern. From what I understand the superiority of the Festool sanders is due to a really well engineered DC. I've had good success with my Porter Cable 5" ROS sanders. I hook them up to a ShopVac and rig a boom arm.
