brtech Posted August 16, 2010 Report Share Posted August 16, 2010 Hello from Mars. Mars, PA that is. I've returned to woodworking from a long (30 yr) absence. Back then I got an opportunity to get access to a local high school woodshop as part of an adult ed program, learned the basics (mostly power tool basics) and built some tables and things. I've had a decent (albeit craftsman) contractor TS and the usual hand held tools for basic repair projects around the house, but never got back into serious furniture building. Recently, I got bit by the CNC bug, being a computer guy, and will soon have a 4'x 4'x 6" working area CNC router in my newly relocated, and larger shop. I've got a couple of projects on my initial to do list, including a blanket chest and a small hanging shelf/peg hanger and then on to refit my office with desk, shelves and printer stand.
