mn pete
I've finished the two Birdseye Maple boxes. Both boxes have Wenge corner keys and lids. The handles are bent laminate pieces of Padauk and Wenge. I've documented the design and construction process over at my blog with tons of in-process pictures. http://secondwindworkshop.blogspot.com/2011/05/four-day-weekend.html http://secondwindworkshop.blogspot.com/2011/06/thrown-for-curve.html And the latest entry... http://secondwindworkshop.blogspot.com/2011/06/form-over-function.html
Afro Boy
These are gorgeous. A job very well done. I prefer the downturned handle. The one which points upwards "feels" a little too big for the size of the box. Either way, I love 'em.
duckkisser
i love the handles and i love the boxes not so crazy about the two combined seems like the handle is to bright and flashy considering how conservative the box feels. maybe on a round band saw cut box or some kind of bent box.
