Jim Heinbuch
I completed one project last night and one many months ago. Today was the day to finish them. OK, I'll admit it I painted them. I got the primer, thinned it and completely sprayed both pieces. I went to clean up everything & something wasn't right. The paint globbed up in the water. Quick rush to the garage confirmed my worst suspicion. I thinned an oil based pain with-- wait for it -- water. Boy, do I feel like a ???? I was wondering why it wasn't looking quite right but I was using old plywood that wasn't sanded because the projects were only for the shop. What do I do to paint tomorrow? Do I have to do anything special on the new paint or just make sure I use more oil based paint?
greatrockandroll
if its really clumped up then sand/scrape it smooth and reapply, but if it is smooth just continue painting with the next few coats.
