Air compressor - do you drain your tanks?

When you are done with the compressor do you drain the air tank?

Haha, we should all say yes!

As a rule when I am using the compressor continually, I empty either daily or weekly. I have a pressure regulator that also has a water trap so I am not concerned about water to any of the tools. The only concern is if the tank rusts up inside, but I have a compressor that is 25 years old that still goes ok after less than perfect care.

Not after every use, no. I drain it several times throughout the summer if I have been using it, since it is more humid, and I usually do not drain it at all during the dry winter months.

only about 4 times a year maybe a little more depending how much it has rained. in the spring early summer, and in the fall hardly ever in mid summer and winter were usualy just very dry during that time of year. we only use it for cleaning off and a few nails so we dont get realy heavy use out of it. also my area does not get very humid for most of the year.

As often as possible...which ends up being about once a month

I drain mine when I think of it. Which is about twice a year. I know I should do it alot more often, but that is one of the things I seldom think about.
