Chester
Hey all! This is Chester from Michigan. I have been woodworking since I was a kid. My brother and I were always destroying and losing my Dad's tools (yikes!). Pops was a good sport. My love has always been furniture. I remember building a wood-framed couch in the stairwell of our apartment building over 30-years ago, with just a circular saw and some pipe clamps. 30-years later, I have come a long way. I don't just buy every tool that comes down the pike ... but I have used the wrong tool (or an insufficient tool) so many times in my life that I am now at the point where I want the right tool for the job. I have been lucky enough to have been able to double the size of my upstairs-of-the-barn-shop over the last year and a half and am almost done (if that is possible with a shop). Gotten to where I like building shop projects almost as much as furniture (got to fight that urge).
