Derwood
Looks awesome. Where did you get the ideas?
terryaucoin
The Mountain Banjo I got from the foxfire books, GREAT books if you haven't read them yet. The Lyre and Lutes I like because I am into Medieval History.
Derwood
I forgot to ask. Do they sound to your liking?
wdwerker
Nice work! Please post pictures of the Medieval lute as you progress. I want to see what those wedges were for!
WoodLight
Nice work. These are inspiring and I look forward to seeing more as you compete other projects. I really liked that you used 'alternative' tone woods. Many luthiers seem bound to maple/mahogany/rosewood backs and sides and spruce tops, when there are other options out there. I have some cherry and a nice tight-grained piece of quartersawn red cedar in my shop right now curing for a Mongolian fiddle I hope to build at some point this year. Great work and thanks for the inspiration.
