Dave H
My daughter went to dealers school to learn all the ins, and outs of all the different casino card games. So while she's trying to get her start in the casino industry I built her this knock down blacjack table to practice on, its made of plywood the base is made with a series of half lap joints, and resembles a trestle table design I just made on the fly it all knocks down and lays flat in a closet. The chip tray took some thought I clampt two 2x4's together drilled through the middle a series of holes 1 5/8" Dia. than glued the two boards together 'and than glued a boarder around them. This was my first attempt at upholstery the felt top was easy, but the padded rail was interesting, and took hours it was a wrestling match. Oh I forgot four dowel pins hold the top to the base which makes the whole assembly one solid unit, and prevent the top from tipping.
Jim Heinbuch
It looks very good for just something "knocked together" even if I don't gamble at all with my own money.
Dave H
Thanks Jim, I'm not much of a gambler either. Funny thing I lived in vegas for a year once I tried getting into gambling, but I always thought in terms of how long did I have to work to make the money I was blowing. flairwoodworks
The table top looks great! The base looks about as good as a quick plywood base can look. I like how in the second picture, the piano bench appears to be lending its legs to the table.
