duckkisser Posted June 16, 2012 Report Share Posted June 16, 2012 been having trouble coloring my turnings. i have tried sharpies and a few other markers on my lathe to color the textured parts of the wood. but when i tried using wax, shellack and even super glue finishes the color tends to run into the groves of the texture so that instead of clean color and white texture its blends together. look between 5:52-7:58 shows how and what to use but i dont have that kind of marker and want to try it before i order expensive art markers. anyone have any tips on how to do this plus what to color with out of local supplies?
