hhanger
i was looking at the show slated to come to Dallas in October and probably half of the booths are showing as unsold. I used to enjoy going to them when there were a lot of exhibitors, maybe 4-5 years ago. No manufactures of big iron, no Woodcraft although Rockler is signed up. Besides the big show in Atlanta, what other shows are there? It sure looks like these things are dying out.
wilburpan
Woodworking in America has 70+ exhibitors at last count. And even though there's a lot of hand tool content at WIA, which makes this hand tool nut very happy, the exhibitors at WIA this year include Festool, General International, Laguna, LHR Technologies (maker of the Carvewright), PS Wood Machines, Rikon, Sommerfeld, Woodline, Woodpeckers, and, yes, Woodcraft. So plenty of stuff for folks who like to plug their tools into a wall outlet.

If last year is any indication, Woodworking in America will be fantastic!
billboard
I have only been going to the wood working shows for a few years and it's sad how they are dwindling down. If we could get WIA to go on the road.

Speaking as someone who's going to be behind a booth at WIA, I can't afford to spend weekends on the road that often; part of what makes it possible is that it's a one-time, one-place deal. :-)
