bluenorange Posted December 25, 2012 Report Posted December 25, 2012 So I was playing around on youtube and came across this video of an awsome workbench, one big problem though, it is not in english. I would love to see some plans and maybe a link or something on where i could purchase the hardware featured in this video. Any help would be much appriciated. Thanks Quote
Hybrid-woodworker Posted December 25, 2012 Report Posted December 25, 2012 Not sure what pieces you were looking at but most of it is Veritas, Festool and Incra. The bench looks custom to fit all the specific products. BRuce 1 Quote
jbs550 Posted December 25, 2012 Report Posted December 25, 2012 the video says instructions for building the bench can be found in episode/lesson 37 and 38. holzwerken.net has an email address on the front page, you might try emailing them. awesome bench... Quote
CessnaPilotBarry Posted December 26, 2012 Report Posted December 26, 2012 That bench may or may not be awesome... Depending on the work habits of the potential user. What are the plans as to what would be done on it? Quote

BRuce Thanks, I was able to find the Veritas twin screw vice with your help, but do you or anybody know by chance where to get the bracket that holds the festool track so it can be tipped out of the way but held square when in use? Thanks again for your help Quote
bluenorange Posted December 26, 2012 Author Report Posted December 26, 2012 That bench may or may not be awesome... Depending on the work habits of the potential user. What are the plans as to what would be done on it? Well the bench isn't for me its for my brother in law and he doesn't have a lot of room. He told me he wanted a bench that had everything on it so he could roll it out of his garage and work outside with it. saw this and thought it would be perfect. I can design the bench myselft, was just looking for the hardware for the vise and the festool track bracket and such. Quote
dodgeram99 Posted December 26, 2012 Report Posted December 26, 2012 That is a very cool work bench. I would love to find plans on how to make one. Quote
Hybrid-woodworker Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 The bracket for the Festool track would be custom, just like the rest of the adjustable stops on that side of the bench. More than likely it is a piano hinge bolted to the track and screwed to the bracket. All you need now is to find the 2 episodes and a translator. ;-) BRuce Quote
TRBaker Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 You can probably get that pink paint from Mary Kay. Quote
justsomeguy Posted December 28, 2012 Report Posted December 28, 2012 The guys talked about this bench in Wood Talk 107. There was some discussion of it in this thread. You can buy the magazines at the link below. They are, of course, auf Deutsch. http://shop.holzwerken.net/econtent/catalog/shop/holzwerken/abos/HolzWerken Quote

It seems like it would be pretty easy to make one but I figured festool would sell it separate. guess they want you to buy the hole table not just parts. Quote
Martin Hugo Posted December 30, 2012 Report Posted December 30, 2012 You can buy most Festool parts. Check their website for details. However, check out True-Track for a less expensive track saw option. http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/catalog/track_saw_system.htm Quote
rpike Posted January 13, 2013 Report Posted January 13, 2013 I read, write and speak German if you need translation services. It's one of my skills that often goes unused here in the states. What specifically do you need? Quote
nateswoodworks Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 If your brother-in-law is a power tool woodworker it will probably be perfect. I am in the middle of building my Roubo bench (with a couple alterations) and have spent a lot of time the last few years dwelling on how I want it, does he know what he wants, I ask just because I think the bench is the most personal bench in the shop.
