Steve Lyde
I made my grandson a toy box this year for Christmas. It was my first real attempt at hand cutting dovetails. I first took a class at Woodcraft on hand cutting dovetails and that gave me the gumption to go for it on this project. The top is a frame made of maple and a raised panel made from book match walnut. The front and back are maple with walnut on both ends and walnut for the lower base molding. The hinges are the torsion hinges from Rockler. The finish is a water base from General Finishes and it was applied with a Fuji HVLP unit. TRBaker
When he outgrows the toy box, it should still be available to pass on to his children. Nice work, Steve. Definitely a keeper.

Steve Lyde
Thanks guys for the kind words. At his age he doesn't understand that I made it vs bought it but someday I hope he learns to appreciate it.
