FlyinFish
Made a couple growler carriers for my FIL. Used some very nice cedar and it looks great. I left the finishing up to him. It looks great as-is, but he may do the steel wool vinegar thing. The cedar was a bit tough to work with and had a bit of tear out with the dado blade, but I kept it all on the inside and it goes with the rough cedar look. Also got to put my new Narex chisels to use just a bit for rabbets on the bottom.
wdwerker
Looks pretty nice! I would have eased or rounded the corners more but there are so many ways to do things.
Coop
Great job. Am I the only one that doesn't know what a growler carrier is? Guess I should have googled before asking
FlyinFish
Growlers are 64oz jugs you take to the local brewery and have filled with fresh beer. It's not usually much cheaper than cans or bottles, but it gives you a much fresher taste without having to get a keg, and it creates less/no waste. Agreed on the edges. I only sanded/rounded the handle hole and the top of the handle, and left the rest up to my FIL to do what he wanted.
Coop
Ok, thanks. I googled it and saw that it was to tote beer but thought it was to take the beer with you and not to bring it home. Makes sense now because I was wondering how you keep it cold.

wdwerker
Now I can get behind letting him do the rest of the hand work ! This will do the job. You can refine it any way you like !
