I'm leaning toward the Nicholson bench (I know several of you have made them) but wondered if I should add a tail vise. I like Mike Siemsen's video on the ways to use it without a vise but wondered what experience you guys have had. Are there things you would do differently and why? Thanks. Chet Posted November 27, 2016 Report Share Posted November 27, 2016 I have the Veritas inset vise in mine and I am real happy with that. I am going to add a leg vise this summer, setting things up with the crochet is just turning out to be a little to time consuming. I do like the over all design of the bench.
