KevinG
Has anyone use Phenolic plywood for jigs or cabinets? What is your opinion? I got a piece at woodcraft 24x48 and it cost me 50 bucks!! Seems pricey but I wanted to give it a try. Does anyone know where I can get a whole sheet (4x8) in Washington State? Woodcraft only sells small pieces.
Dyami Plotke
Phenolic plywood is very expensive. The only distributor I know of who sells full sheets is Robert's Plywood in Deer Park, NY. I'm not sure if they can/will ship a full sheet. It's been a long time since I priced it, by a few years ago it was going for over $200 per sheet.
dwacker
Call Architectural hardwoods in Tacoma. Edensaw does not have it nor does Crosscut. Don
dwacker
Never mind the last post. I called Edensaw and asked while I was placing my order. She quoted be $53.94 per sheet but could only get 18mm. Don
dwacker
Forgot to add. If you want even better than phenolic. Go to Tacoma Richlite factory and take a look at their products. If you like what you see then you can run right down the street and buy them from Eden saw. It to hard to explain Richlie so take a look at their web site. Its worth a trip to their factory to see all the options. Their plywood is poplar core and runs along the same quality level as baltic birch with just about any surface veneer you can think of. Rowdymon
Nice... Wish we had some of that here in Houston...I just can't justify the cost of Woodcraft's phenolic for jigs and shop furniture..
adambaum
Try a construction supply house. Phenolic plywood also goes by another name and is used for making concrete forms.
