Pwalter5110
Basically, my wife does hair and nails from the house in her spare time, but the table she uses to do nails is a little low and she has been having a sore back and shoulders from crouching over. She does a lot of hand painted designs and I would like to actually put her samples into an epoxy finish in the table top. But I am really worried about what acetone would do to an epoxy finish. I am sure acetone eats through just about anything, but I am wondering if there is a way to do this that will stand up to the abuse she will put it through. I did a little research and it looks like acetone is used to thin epoxy, so I doubt it will work. But I am still wondering if there is a finish that won't be affected by the acetone... Pwalter5110
Or would I be able to put the sample nail designs in epoxy and put a piece of glass over top? Does acetone damage glass in any way?
Tpt life
No. Acetone is a fantastic glass cleaner and will not damage it.

Boatworks Today
acetone may somewhat dull the finish of cured epoxy, but it will not damage it. It's what's used for cleaning and prepping epoxy and various resins prior to the next layup .
