Need a sharpening system? Stones? Stone-pond? Grit? Lapping Plate? etc?

I’ve had this system for several years. I got it as a gift and only used it once. I sharpen today with all diamond stones so this system just sits. I thought there might be somebody on this forum who could use it. Otherwise I will just post it on ebay.

 

2 of the stones haven’t been touched. The 3^rd, is cracked, but I thought I’d throw it in just in case you want it. Veritas used to sell this system for $110. Now I think they sell the same system but with the MKII Sharpening Guide for $160. I’d like to get $50, plus the cost of shipping.

 

The Stone Pond is a complete system to store, use and maintain water stones up to 12" in length. It is made of ABS plastic with stainless-steel and aluminum parts. It comes with

 

1. A twin-clamping system,

2. A glass lapping plate

3. Grit

4. Cover

 

 

 

I also have 3 stones

 

1. A 800# King Japanese water stone

2. A two-sided 1000#/6000# King Japanese water stone

3. A 4000# King Japanese water stone (This one is cracked. But I’ll include it anyway in case you want to mount it or use only a portion of it or what-ever.

 

All you’d need is to make or buy a sharpening jig and you’d be in business. Or free-hand sharpen if you have that kind of hand-eye-coordination.
