collinb
Our cupboard doors all got mounted this weekend. Things are looking good, in general. But after mounting I noticed a difference between the original hinges and the replacements. (Replacements: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Hickory-Hardware-Satin-Nickel-Self-Closing-Hinge-2-Pack-P243-SN/100674849 ) The new hinges make the door stand out a bit. It looks like I need to mortise the backs. That's a project for the Spring. It looks like what I need is a jig recommendation.
..Kev
Those hinges come in different offset sizes. They're a pretty standard hinge. Suggest taking one original to HD or Lowes and comparing side by side to make sure the offset is the same. If you do have to mortise the back a little, that's a simple jig to build but suggest marking your locations before you remove the doors. Router with a guide bushing and a template should do the trick.
