Rick LoDico
My Grammercy's are 3/4. I didn't need to widen my dog holes but I had to drill them all the way through with an auger bit.

Linky link Yea, but I realized looking through my orders that it was the big one from woodcraft (woodriver).
AMarshall
Oh then I think the official prognosis is that you are hosed.
RenaissanceWW
Isn't that one of the Jorgensen's. I remember seeing one of those at Woodcraft and thinking it was a bit fat. The sales guy measured it and we confirmed the 7/8 diameter. Then I asked if I could test it out in a thick top. One whack and the whole thing snapped in half. The sales guys laughed and asked me if I wanted him to order some more. Umm...no! Be very careful of the cast ones, they cannot take the stress. Gramercy works great and they are very cheap.
