Barrister's Bookcase

I have a few weeks until I pack up the shop and move so I'm going to try to pound out a barrister's case. I have a ton of cherry leftover from projects over the past couple of years so that is going to be the primary wood. My question for you all is in regards to the wood choice for the panels. I love the look of cherry and walnut but darker panels within a lighter frame just looks wrong in my opinion. I'm leaning toward using some nice curly maple. I guess I could just use cherry for both the frame and panel but where's the fun in that? I'd appreciate your thoughts and opinions.

Remember that cherry and walnut are both known for some dramatic color change in opposite directions. Don't build for today's bookcase. Build for a year or two from now. I also resist darker inside a lighter frame with the caveat of some more specialty species panels in maple cabinets etc.
