Popular Post rodger.
Had to paint a 18' wall above the stairs. Could not get a ladder on there safely, so I made this platform from plywood. I made a simple box the height of a stair, and then attached a 20" platform to span the next step up. Finally I added some outriggers to hit a third step. Nice and sturdy to place the extension ladder on! We had one guy hold the ladder at the bottom, and the other climb up to cut in! Perfect! If the railing had not been there, I probably would have bolted the ladder to the platform. The railing was there as a safety net to ensure the ladder could not slide. Of course, safety first! We were sure to test it and have a guy at the bottom in case of any issue.
mat60
Good thinking. Places like that can be a pain to get to.
Popular Post wdwerker
I just use my Little Giant ladder. You can adjust one set of legs longer than the other. It folds up to store, extends to several different sizes of stepladder and folds out straight to be a extension ladder. The newer ones have a set of wheels to make it easier to move around. The ladder is a bit weighty compared to a regular ladder but it does so much.
Tom King
I just use an extension on the airless sprayer gun, and paint the wall, and ceiling the same color. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0021XRQVA/ref=asc_df_B0021XRQVA5154565/?tag=hyprod-20&creative=394997&creativeASIN=B0021XRQVA&linkCode=df0&hvadid=193152739170&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17831457001590767078&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9010138&hvtargid=pla-308941384005
