Peetie27
I have a Grizzly 14” bandsaw that is having an issue. When I turn it on, sometimes it powers up, sometimes it doesn’t. Right now it’s been about 3 days since it has worked. It did this before, for about a week, and then it will work again! Any ideas what this could be? I tested the power and it is on all the time. I thought about the start capacitor on the motor, but I figured if this was bad I would hear the motor humming trying to start. There is no noise. It’s like it’s dead. Weirdest thing
Keggers
Call Grizzly tech support at 570-546-9663. They'll be glad to help you. I have a Grizzly table saw that had an intermittent starting problem. After changing out the start capacitor if found I needed a new switch. Chestnut
I would bet my money on a failing starter capacitor. There are ways to test them with a multi meter.
Peetie27
Ok thanks
Minnesota Steve
I agree if it was the start capacitor I think you'd hear a hum. Although it's still possible and worth testing. Might be a loose connection, or a bad switch... The fact that it's intermittent... That might require some tear apart troubleshooting with a multimeter.
