Popular Post Jar944
I built a semi automated notcher for building beaded cabinet face frames. Its based around a router with kreg notching bit and the pneumatics are controlled with a couple solenoids and a foot pedal. Overall really a simple and cheap to build design, but is rather effective. Its based loosely off the us concepts hauncher/ notcher, and actually ended up very close to a large hoffman dovetail machine. I didn't realize that until after I built it. The plus side of that is that It should work to cut hoffman dovetails if i ever wanted to.
wtnhighlander
Very slick! Frames like that are quite tedious with hand tools...
drzaius
I love the look of a beaded face frame and that setup gives great results.

They are still tedious, just much less tedious than before. 12 hours ago, drzaius said: I love the look of a beaded face frame and that setup gives great results. Thanks. I love a good beaded inset cabinet as well. Just something classic about it. I built a manual version of this jig a few years ago and it just wasn't 100% consistent. This version has been extremely consistent and allowed me the ability to vary the face frame widths beyond the available kreg router bit sizes. jussi
Well done. I have the kreg jig which works well for me since I’m a hobbies and I don’t do too much beaded ff. But If I was a pro I I could see the huge time savings.
