I am short with short arms so I prefer the Mattias Wandel push sticks. They allow me to stay back and I don't have to reach over the blade. That said I don't really do many rip cuts at the table saw especially thin rip cuts. Personally I think the band saw is the safest way to make them but i realize that doesn't work for everyone. Nut, I find myself going more to the bs than I ever suspected, especially on rip cuts. Smaller kerf = more material and less dust collection. When I first bought mine, it was due to influence from here, now I can’t see me living without one.
Ronn W
Fr ripping a narrow cut. I have ripped down to 1/4" and1/8" with the 1/8" leg (sold speparately). At some point while making a narrow rip cut, you will, cut and forget to slap the gripper tight to the fence and end up cutting the leg of the gripper ( it cuts like butter) so be prepared to by an additional leg or 2 eventually. I like mine.
