Tom King
I just saw one in use on another forums. I guess they've gotten cheaper since I last looked at big ball valves. https://www.amazon.com/Midline-Valve-T-Handle-Connections-482T400/dp/B08CX6P23Q/ref=asc_df_B08CX6P23Q/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=532543771405&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=644995830375085582&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9009793&hvtargid=pla-1440690184254&th=
Ronn W
Doesn't the interior of ball valve have partial obstructions to air flow?
Tom King
They're the same open diameter as the pipe with no leakage to the outside. A static grounding wire inside wouldn't work though.
BonPacific
Over $100 for a 6", $45 for a 4" still seems pretty dear.
Tom King
Yes, I didn't even look at the prices, but said they must be cheaper than they used to be for someone to use them as blast gates. Maybe he ran up on a deal somewhere. Seems like they would work really well though. He did have a 25" spiral head planer using it, so I guess compared to the price of the planer, it wasn't much. I was wondering about a 6" pipe for such a big planer, but I didn't say anything.
