Popular Post Askland09
It's been a long four months staring at this piece in the basement waiting for it to dry out enough for its second turning but I'm ecstatic with how it turned (terrible pun I know) out. The ogee profile isn't for every one but I thought it looked pretty cool in this white oak bowl with all the wild grain. Although not perfect, defined by the flatness in the bottom of the bowl vs a nice gentle curve through the whole piece, I'm happy to call this my first "tree to bowl" piece Decided to have a little fun and mark the piece as an original with the feathered rings. Hope ya'll enjoy! Luke
Popular Post wtnhighlander
Looks really nice! One thing about bowl turning, there is always a lovely suprise waiting to be released from its hiding place in the grain. Well done! 1

I unfortunately didn't get a good picture of it but there's a few areas where I caught the QS nature of white oak that adds a little pop of character to the bowl.
