TomInNC
I'm building some painted cabinets out maple ply, and if I have enough material left, I am going to make applied panels for the exposed sides. What's best practice regarding painting and finishing when you have an applied panel? Should I apply the unfinished panel to the carcase, then paint and finish the carcase leaving the back of the panel unfinished? Or should I paint and finish both sides of the panel and then apply it? BillyJack
Flat ply panel or solid raised panel? Just apply it , then finish it at the same time..If concerned, apply seal coat, apply and finish at the same time..
