TPG
Just finished sanding a very old buffet, when I try to stain with a neutral color it comes out orange. Any suggestions?
Chestnut
If you stained the whole piece, your kinda hosed at this point. You'll have to sand back to raw wood and start over. Quadruple check it's not veneer, if it is you may not get a 2nd change. Best practice is to test the stain in a very inconspicuous area before heading to the visible parts. Think bottom side of the top or inside a door etc.
drzaius
A couple of pics would help us to see just what can be done here.
