Onboard
I’m still having connectivity issues with WTO. As I mentioned before, it is intermittent, and may last for 20 or 30 seconds or up to a minute or more. It doesn’t seem to be specific to the time of day, but I cannot give you any statistics. I’ve checked to see if this is an issue with my ISP but so far I can get a quick connection to other sites while still waiting for a response from the WTO server. Sometimes I get the message below. I’m in Portland Oregon connecting through Comcast. Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@woodtalkonline.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Apache/2.0.54 Server at woodtalkonline.com Port
Beechwood Chip
I've been seeing this as well, for the past day or two.
PaulMarcel
Same, as well as sloooow. I'm on another forum that at least used to be on the same backend as this forum so when this one would have problems, the other would, too. That one hasn't had any issues, speed or otherwise. But that could be that they no longer have the same backend.
Keggers
Paul....some back ends are better than others.
thewoodwhisperer
yeah i've been seeing it too. Unfortunately I'm getting to the point that I don't even know what to do about it. Seems like there is some sort of issue with our database..... Fun troubleshooting ahead...
TomP
I get the same thing at times. It also seems so slow at times but hey, I've got time
Onboard
There are database experts out there. Maybe at least one is a WTO member who could lend a hand.
thewoodwhisperer
Contacted our host and apparently there was an issue on their end. Can you guys update this thread tomorrow to let me know how it's performing on your end?
Beechwood Chip
It's intermittent - I'll update if I see it, but if I don't see it that doesn't mean it's fixed.
thewoodwhisperer
I haven't been on much today but right now everything looks pretty smooth. How has it been for you guys?
Beechwood Chip
I had one incident at 9:15pm eastern yesterday, but that might have been on my end. I may have been downloading a bunch of stuff at the same time as I was browsing WTO.
Onboard
It’s been behaving itself reasonably well today. I’ll keep an eye on it for a few days.
rmac
Still intermittently very slow for me. -- Russ
Onboard
Yesterday seemed okay, but I had a wait of over 1 minute this morning at approximately 9:00 AM.
Beechwood Chip
10:48am Eastern, today, the site was completely hung for over five minutes (I gave up waiting). My system and home network was otherwise idle. I've had other times when the site was hung/slow, but I was doing a lot of things in parallel, so it might have been on my end, so I didn't report it. A host is a host from coast to coast, And no one will talk to a host that's close Unless the host, that isn't close, Is busy, hung, or dead! thewoodwhisperer
Thanks for the update. The problem we're having is we need to check what queries are running at the time the site hangs up. This is proving very tricky to do....... But we are indeed trying to figure this thing out. Sorry for the poor performance.
