thewoodwhisperer
Hmm... Not sure what's wrong..... I just went into my profile, uploaded a new picture, and the new picture showed up. Is anyone else having trouble with profile pics?

Beechwood Chip
How large is your picture (in pixels x pixels)?
Brian VanVreede
I'm having problems. It keeps saying the picture is too large. How do I shrink it? Put it in some ice water is my only thought..
thewoodwhisperer
Do you have any sort of image editing software on your system Brian?
Brian VanVreede
I'm sure I do but never really checked it out. If that's where ill find out how to shrink my images I will check there before I ask for you to hold my hand! Thanks Seni`or Marc
thewoodwhisperer
Yeah that would be a good idea. Generally, the pics we get off of our cameras these days are WAY oversized for the web. So websites will either resize them upon upload or simply require you to resize them ahead of time. It can make the difference between a 4mb file and a 200kb file. With thousands of uploads, this can make a big difference.
Brian VanVreede
I need to figure it out so I can get my beautiful face out there
Brian VanVreede
Ugh... I'm back with my tail between my legs. I failed. What is the maximum size picture I can upload?
thewoodwhisperer
I would have to look it up as I don't know off hand. If you want to email me the picture, I can resize it for you and send it back. But keep in mind, any pictures you upload to the site have to be downsized to some extent. Definitely something useful to know how to do. Here's something i used to use all the time when I had a PC: http://www.steve.maurer.net/tutorials/XP_tutorials/xp_resize_pics.htm
