COMO
I just got home from visiting family in MO while there I met a man with a mill who is a friend of my uncle. I bought some maple as well as missouri cedar. I was wanting to make a side table, coffee table or bench out of the cedar. I am looking for a good contrasting wood to use as accents or splines int the projects. Since I brought this wood from humid MO to dry western CO I figure I will have to let it sit for a while before using it. Not sure how it will work out but at $2 a BF for Maple and $1 BF for the Cedar I figure it is worth a shot. What would be a good rule of thumb on time for letting it sit here in CO? If it all works next trip I am taking a bigger vehicle.
dwacker
Depends on whether or not it was kiln dried. Don

dwacker
The maple just bring in the house for a week or two. The cedar i'd get a moisture meter and check it. Don
