Latex mist/overspray/ powder on antique furniture and newer wood furniture

During a remodel we are having done, the painters didn't get everything as well covered as it should have been. Overspray, or as they say " latex dust" coated several items of antique furniture. It does not wipe off completely and leaves a bit of a cloudy film. The surfaces span varnish, shellac and some kind of a rubbed oil. I am looking for some suggestions on cleaning materials and methods from among the wood obsessed hordes.

If its still sorta fresh paint. Try very hot tap water on a rag and work it. Not really wet if you get my drift.

Try Scott's Liquid Gold and a box of soft rags (t-shirt scraps) sold in the paint aisles of Lowes or Home Depot.
