Just got my first and probably most important tool for the new wood shop, a table saw. My plan is building more modern art furniture, also combinations from different material like wood, steel, aluminum and also carbon fibre. I like Baltic Birch multi layer plywood (or Finnland Birch) as a building material. I think especially in north europe laminated plywood (e.g. phenolic laminated) is widely used in construction and residential home building as well as in design furniture construction. I also am interested in modern and contemporary furniture, although I'm mostly focusing on hand tools right now due to not having a shop space so I don't think I'm going to be working with much plywood.
