Alan G
Good morning- I am trying to finalize the setup of my air compressor. I plan on using it for spraying with an HVLP. I was curious what those of you that spray with a compressor use for your filter / dryer / reg setup. In my research I have found everything from a simple filter dryer reg combo to a very elaborate pipe setup with multiple moisture traps. Any advice would be appreciated. wdwerker
Before I went to a turbine HVLP system I used 2 filter/dryers .One at the compressor and another 25 ft away in-line, then a hose from there to the spray gun . It was amazing how much moisture the second unit captured . With a turbine system the air is quite warm and I haven't had any moisture problems. Trip
Here's a resent thread on air compressor setups: Note: spraying with central air adds a good deal more requirements than just driving a pin nailer... It's why many go with a turbine setup.
