Popular Post wdwerker
I came across a review of this drill guide and looked up the inventors website. Then days later I saw it offered at http://www.harryepstein.com When I was shopping for a 24" blade for my combination square, so I added the drill guide to the order and saved on shipping. Received it and played with it a little the tossed it in the drawer under the drill press. I stripped out the threads on my sliding crosscut table's lock knob and need to drill it out so I could tap it for the next size . I centered up the tap drill and jig on the hole and clamped the jig in place, then drilled a perfectly straight hole. Found the hole in the jig that fit my tap and used the jig to keep the tap straight while cutting new threads. I have since used it to drill out a broken bolt by clamping it over the nub sticking out, drilled a smaller hole and used an Ez-out to back out the piece. It kept the bit from slipping sideways and ruining the threads. There is a Vee groove on the bottom that let's you drill into round stock with just a hand drill. Nice when something is difficult to get to the drill press. Well worth the price!
